01 Do I have to use FastField, or can you build on the platform we already use?

FastField is what we know best. We've built 49 forms and processed 3,501 submissions through it since 2022, so that's where we deliver the fastest and most reliable work.

If you already pay for another platform, tell us on the discovery call. We've worked across a few of the major ones and can often build in your existing tool. If we can't, we'll tell you on the call rather than wasting your time.

02 What happens when my form needs to change six months in?

Forms always change. Regulations update, your team finds a better way of working, a new product line gets added. That's normal.

Two options. Small tweaks (renaming a field, adding a checkbox, fixing wording) are charged at a flat hourly rate. Larger changes (new sections, new logic, new integrations) get scoped the same way as the original build: written quote, fixed price, you sign off before any work starts.

For operators who change forms often, we offer a retainer that covers a set number of monthly changes. Ask about it on the call if that sounds like you.

03 Who owns the data, and where does it live?

You own your data. Always. It lives in your FastField account (or whichever platform you choose), under your billing and your control. We build the form, we don't host or hold the submissions.

FastField is GDPR-compliant and stores data in EU or US data centres depending on your account region. If your sector has stricter requirements (NHS DSPT, ISO 27001, sector-specific data residency rules), tell us on the discovery call so we can confirm fit before you commit.

04 Does it work offline? My team works in basements and on roofs.

Yes. Forms work fully offline on the device. Your team fills in the survey, takes photos, captures GPS, signs off, all without a single bar of signal.

When the device next sees Wi-Fi or mobile data, the submission syncs automatically to the cloud. Your team doesn't have to remember to upload anything. We've run this in basements, on roofs, and in some genuinely awful rural cavity-wall jobs. It works.

05 Can it connect to the tools we already use?

Usually, yes. Common integrations include Pipedrive, Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Drive, Dropbox, Microsoft SharePoint, accounting systems via Zapier or Make, and direct webhook posts to your own systems.

If you have a specific tool in mind, name it on the call. We'll tell you whether it's a five-minute Zap, a half-day custom build, or genuinely not possible, before you commit.

06 Who actually builds these? Is it a big agency?

No. This is built by Aaron Davies, the director of First Choice Energy Ltd. The same person who runs our own solar and retrofit business, where we use these forms every day on our own crew's job sheets.

We're an operator first, a forms builder second. That's why the work tends to look different from the agency builds we've inherited and rescued. We've spent three years living with digital forms in our own business, so we know what breaks, what gets ignored, and what your surveyors will actually pick up.

07 I'm not sure digital forms are the right fit for us. What now?

Book the call anyway. It's 15 minutes, no commitment, and if it isn't a fit we'll tell you straight.

The teams who get the most out of this are the ones running the same workflow repeatedly: site surveys, care assessments, installations, inspections, handover sign-offs, anything that happens on site more than a few times a week. If your work is one-off and bespoke every time, paper might genuinely still be your best option, and we'll say so.

08 How do you get a team that hates tech to actually use it?

Two things, in this order.

First, the form is designed for the job, not for a software company's idea of the job. Big buttons, large text, photo capture in two taps, no logins after the first one. If your surveyor can't use it with cold hands in a roof void, we built it wrong.

Second, the handover is done with your actual team, in their environment, on their devices, going through the form on a live job. Not a slide deck. Once a sceptic submits one form and sees the report appear, they stop being a sceptic.
